Radio Group Announces Promotions

Arizona’s Hometown Radio Group, owners of KPPV 106.7 FM “The Mix,” KQNA 1130 AM News-Talk-Sports, KDDL 94.3 “Cattle Country” and KPKR 97.3 “River Rat Radio,” is promoting three employees to Vice presidential positions within the company. Radio group President Sanford Cohen named Allison Flannery to the new position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Flannery, who has been with Cohen’s stations since 1993, is now responsible for all sales and marketing including promotions and public relations. Her duties also include national sales and overseeing all local advertising sales.

Ken Byers has been named Vice President of Broadcast Operations for the group. Byers, the popular of “Weekend Spotlite” on KQNA 1130 AM, now oversees broadcast operations for the group’s four stations.

Cohen has also promoted Janet Martin to Vice President of Administration. Martin will oversee radio commercial traffic and billing along with office scheduling and maintenance.

“These promotions are a direct result of the addition of KDDL 94.3 FM “Cattle Country” and KPKR 97.3 FM “River Rat Radio” in Parker, Arizona to our radio group,” Cohen said recently. “Our staff has increased by 70 percent since the acquisitions of these radio stations and I think it’s a tribute to all three of these employees that their talents be recognized with these promotions.”
